ARPA

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 is a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill. Within the ARPA, there are significant direct allocations to state and local governments. These funds may be spent in several categories called “eligible use” categories. Most Arkansas cities and towns will primarily use the Premium Pay and Lost Revenue categories. We encourage you to review each of the sections below.

Please note that the rules for this funding change from time to time and that earlier documents and recordings will reflect AML’s understanding of the rules at the time that the materials were prepared. Be sure and check later materials for a more up-to-date understanding.
